CVE-2023-25775Network attack vector

Remote code execution via zero-length STAG registration

Published Aug 11, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Improper access control in Intel's Linux RDMA driver before 1.9.30 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via RDMA traffic. The kernel-mode fast-register flow programs zero-length STAGs or memory regions into hardware, disabling hardware memory-length checks. Exploitation requires supported Intel RDMA hardware and a high-complexity network interaction; successful access can execute arbitrary code on the host.
