Arbitrary post deletion via missing nonce validation
Published May 18, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Shoppable Images for WooCommerce 1.2.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary posts. Image-editing and deletion functions accept state-changing requests without valid nonce checks, allowing the victim's session to authorize attacker-chosen operations. Exploitation requires an administrator to open a crafted link; the resulting action can delete any WordPress post accepted by the targeted function.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
