CVE-2023-25683Network attack vector

Sensitive-information disclosure to HMC service users

Published Jun 15, 2023 · Updated Dec 12, 2024

Information disclosure in IBM PowerVM Hypervisor firmware allows attackers with service access to the HMC to obtain sensitive data. IBM has not disclosed the flawed hypervisor component, the data exposed, or the operation that returns it to the HMC service session. Only FSP-based systems are affected; eBMC-based systems are unaffected, and the reported consequence is limited to sensitive-information exposure.
