Denial of service via scalar shape inference
Published Mar 24, 2023 · Updated Feb 19, 2025
Null pointer dereference in TensorFlow before 2.11.1 allows remote attackers to cause service interruption via crafted scalar values. LookupTableImportV2 shape inference assumes the values input has rank at least one; a scalar reaches unchecked dimension handling and triggers an NPE. The call must be reachable by an exposed TensorFlow service or model-processing path, and the bounded consequence is process interruption without reported confidentiality or integrity impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
