Information disclosure via unsanitized SMS sorting parameter
Published Dec 14, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SQL injection in ZTE MF833U1 and MF286R firmware allows attackers with web-interface access to disclose SMS and device data. The SMS endpoint inserts the order_by parameter into a SQLite query without sanitization, enabling boolean-based blind extraction. MF286R requires web-interface authentication, while MF833U1 does not; the confirmed affected builds are CR_LVWRGBMF286RV1.0.0B04 and BD_MF833U1V1.0.0B01.
