Local browser-unlock bypass via external content opening
Published Nov 27, 2023 · Updated Oct 11, 2024
Authentication bypass in NAVER Whale Browser for Android before 3.0.1.2 allows local users to open protected browser content. The Open in Whale feature accepts an external content-opening action without enforcing the browser-unlock gate first. Access requires control of the Android device and invocation of that feature; the documented consequence is bypass of the browser lock.
