CVE-2023-25617Network attack vector

Command execution via improperly escaped program parameters

Published Mar 14, 2023 · Updated Feb 27, 2025

OS command injection in SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 420 and 430 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands on Unix. The Adaptive Job Server improperly escapes program-object parameters before passing them to Unix command execution. Exploitation requires enabled program-object execution, scheduling rights, and submission through BI Launchpad, CMC, or the public Java SDK, after which commands can read or alter data and interrupt the application.
