CVE-2023-25616Network attack vector

Privilege escalation via Program Object code injection

Published Mar 14, 2023 · Updated Feb 27, 2025

Code injection in CMC Program Object execution in SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.2 and 4.3 allows remote authenticated users to gain privileges. SAP has not disclosed the input field or code path that fails to neutralize attacker-controlled content during Program Object execution. Access to the CMC execution feature is required, and successful injection grants access to resources held by the more-privileged execution context.
