Out-of-bounds read in GNU Binutils allows local users to disclose process memory or crash a utility via a crafted VMS Alpha file. parse_module trusts record and element lengths in VMS Alpha debug sections and accesses structures without checking them against the section boundary. Exploitation requires user interaction with a malformed binary; consequences are limited to memory disclosure or interruption of the affected utility.
