Targeted attacks via Apache Tomcat version disclosure
Published Mar 1, 2023 · Updated Mar 7, 2025
Information disclosure in Dell Technologies NetWorker Virtual Edition 19.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to obtain Apache Tomcat version data. Dell has not published the request, response field, or Tomcat configuration that exposes the version from the AuthC or NetWorker Server components. Network access to those client-facing components is required, and the disclosed version can guide target-specific follow-on attacks without granting write access or service interruption.
