CVE-2023-25539Network attack vector

OS command execution via undisclosed client flaw

Published May 31, 2023 · Updated Jan 9, 2025

OS command injection in Dell NetWorker NVE 19.7.1, 19.7.0.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute client commands. Dell has not disclosed the affected client function, input field, protocol message, or operation that incorporates untrusted data into an OS command. Dell states that remote unauthenticated access is sufficient, but its published CVSS vector requires high privileges and user interaction; successful commands run with the client application's privileges.
