Unauthenticated privilege escalation via web plugin stack overflow
Published Sep 20, 2023 · Updated Sep 24, 2024
Stack overflow in NVIDIA DGX H100 BMC before 23.08.07 allows remote attackers to disclose or alter data via a crafted network packet. NVIDIA identifies the locus as a web server plugin but has not published the affected parser, field, or missing bounds operation. Reachability requires access to the dedicated BMC management network; no authentication is required, and successful exploitation also grants privilege escalation.
