Information disclosure via misforwarded encapsulated IPv6 packets
Published Sep 20, 2023 · Updated Sep 24, 2024
Improper access control in NVIDIA Cumulus Linux before 5.6.0 allows remote attackers to disclose information via crafted IPv6 packets. The forwarding path incorrectly handles a VxLAN-encapsulated IPv6 packet received on an SVI when both its destination MAC and IPv6 address target the SVI link-local address. Exploitation requires network access to the affected VxLAN and SVI configuration and exposes information through unintended forwarding.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
