Subscriber-level setting modification via missing capability check
Published Dec 9, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Missing authorization in Migrate Clone 2.3.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to modify a plugin setting through AJAX. The wp_ajax_tifm_save_decision function saves the Test new plugins before installing setting without checking the caller’s capability. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and the demonstrated consequence is limited to unauthorized modification of that setting.
