Unauthorized editor-setting changes via missing nonce validation
Published Oct 6, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
CSRF in BoldGrid Post and Page Builder 1.24.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to change the preferred editor via a forged request. The submitDefaultEditor function accepts the state-changing request without correct nonce validation, so the request is treated as authorized. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to open attacker-controlled content; the documented consequence is limited to changing the preferred editor setting.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
