Published May 4, 2023 · Updated Jan 29, 2025
Local privilege escalation in Genomedics MilleGP5 5.9.2 allows local users to execute code with elevated privileges. The default Windows installation grants BUILTIN\Users write access to MilleGPG5.exe and files under the plugin and k-platform directories, allowing modification of privileged application code. Exploitation requires a low-privileged account that can alter those files and a higher-privileged execution of the modified application.
