Unauthenticated session termination via unchecked logout request
Published Apr 11, 2023 · Updated Feb 11, 2025
Denial of service in the ATEN PE8108 2.4.232 web interface allows remote attackers to terminate active user sessions without authentication. The login endpoint accepts SID=clear with a chosen UID and invalidates that user's session without verifying an authenticated or authorized requester. Network access to the management interface is sufficient; repeated requests force valid users out and can impede restoration of powered-down infrastructure.
