Privilege escalation in CoreDial sipXcom 21.04 and earlier allows local users running as daemon to execute commands as root. The daemon-owned /etc/init.d/openfire startup script executes as root, so daemon-level access permits replacement with attacker-controlled commands. Exploitation requires command execution as daemon and a service restart; the resulting commands run with unrestricted root privileges.
