Stored JavaScript execution via unescaped event title
Published Apr 25, 2023 · Updated Feb 4, 2025
Stored XSS in ChurchCRM 4.5.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary JavaScript through a crafted event title. EventEditor.php stores the Title field without neutralizing an injected quote and event-handler attributes, then places the value into the event-editing page. An account able to add events must save the crafted title, and another user must reopen the event in the editor, where the script runs in that user's browser session.
