Sensitive-data theft via unsanitized success parameter
Published Apr 25, 2023 · Updated Feb 4, 2025
Reflected cross-site scripting in World Wide Broadcast Network AVideo before 12.4 allows remote attackers to steal sensitive data via /user. The _alertFromGet function in view/js/script.js assigns the success query value directly to div.innerHTML without first sanitizing it. Exploitation requires a victim to open a crafted URL, after which attacker-supplied event handlers execute in that user's browser context.
