CVE-2023-25266Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via remote Office directory

Published Feb 28, 2023 · Updated Mar 18, 2025

Remote code execution in Docmosis Tornado before 2.9.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through the Office directory setting. ConfigurationServiceImpl accepts a remote Windows share as the Open/LibreOffice location after checking only for expected readable subdirectories, then launches a supplied soffice.exe. Access to the configuration interface is required; restarting Tornado through its GWT service executes the binary with the service account's privileges.
