Remote code execution via stack overflow
Published Apr 7, 2023 · Updated Feb 12, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in Tenda AC5 US_AC5V1.0RTL_V15.03.06.28 allows remote attackers to execute code or cause denial of service via crafted payloads. The saveParentControlInfo function contains a stack-based overflow reachable through crafted input. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation can crash the router or permit arbitrary code execution.
