CVE-2023-25186

Internal filesystem read via AaShell path traversal

Published Jun 16, 2023 · Updated Dec 11, 2024

Path traversal in AaShell on Nokia ASIKA Airscale releases 19B through 21A allows local users to read the baseband filesystem. AaShell resolves diagnostic file paths outside the intended directory instead of confining access to permitted filesystem locations. Exploitation requires access to the internal BTS management network after a BTS administrator disables recommended SOE hardening and activates the default-disabled tool.
