Account password guessing via unlimited login attempts
Published Feb 15, 2023 · Updated Mar 10, 2025
Improper login throttling in Kiwi TCMS before 12.0 allows remote attackers to make unlimited password guesses through the login page. The front-end configuration forwards /accounts/ requests without deriving a per-client limit key, enforcing a request-rate zone, or returning 429. No authentication is required to submit attempts; the consequence is limited to account access if a password is guessed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
