Local privilege escalation via scan-service mount point
Published Mar 7, 2023 · Updated Mar 5, 2025
Link following in Trend Micro Apex One Security Agent before 14.0.0.11564 allows local users to execute arbitrary code as SYSTEM. The NT Apex One RealTime Scan Service accepts an attacker-created mount point and uses it to delete a folder. Low-privileged code execution on the Windows endpoint is required; successful exploitation runs arbitrary code in the SYSTEM context.
