Code execution via PAR structure over-read
Published Feb 14, 2023 · Updated Mar 19, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Siemens Parasolid and Solid Edge SE2022 allows attackers to execute code through a crafted PAR file. The PAR parser reads beyond the end of an allocated structure when processing attacker-controlled file data. Exploitation requires a user to open the file and can crash the application or run attacker-controlled code with the current process's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
