Authenticated OS command execution through default.cmd
Published Apr 24, 2023 · Updated Feb 4, 2025
Improper privilege management in CyberPower PowerPanel Business 4.8.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute OS commands. The flaw concerns default.cmd in the extcmd directory, but the CNA and researcher advisory do not disclose the failed privilege check or untrusted field reaching command execution. Administrative access to the network service is required, and successful exploitation runs commands with the service's operating-system privileges.
