CVE-2023-25120Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via unbounded DMVPN secret

Published Jul 6, 2023 · Updated Nov 4, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in Milesight UR32L 32.3.0.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code via an HTTP request. The set_dmvpn function copies the cisco_secret JSON value into vtysh_command_buffer with unbounded sprintf while composing an NHRP authentication command. High-privilege access to the router's /cgi interface is required; a crafted value can overflow the stack, crash vtysh_ubus, or achieve code execution.
