Authenticated code execution via unbounded IKE formatting
Published Jul 6, 2023 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Milesight UR32L 32.3.0.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code via an HTTP request. The set_ike_profile function formats attacker-controlled username and password values into a fixed command buffer with unbounded sprintf. High-privilege access to the router's /cgi configuration interface is required; exploitation can crash vtysh_ubus or execute code on the router.
