Authenticated code execution via unbounded QoS destination
Published Jul 6, 2023 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Milesight UR32L 32.3.0.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted HTTP request. The set_qos function copies the user-controlled dest JSON value into vtysh_command_buffer with sprintf and no length bound. High-privilege access to the router management interface is required; exploitation can crash vtysh_ubus or redirect execution to attacker-controlled code.
