Code execution via unbounded QoS class formatting
Published Jul 6, 2023 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Milesight UR32L 32.3.0.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code via a crafted HTTP request. The set_qos function formats the attacker-controlled attach_class JSON string into vtysh_command_buffer with an unbounded sprintf call. High-privilege access to the router management interface is required; successful exploitation executes arbitrary code, while the published proof of concept crashes vtysh_ubus.
