Unauthorized settings changes via unverified AJAX requests
Published Dec 9, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Missing authorization in We’re Open! 1.45 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter plugin settings through forged AJAX requests. Dashboard AJAX handlers accept state-changing requests without validating a WordPress nonce, so they cannot verify request intent. Exploitation requires an administrator to interact with attacker-controlled content, and the published impact is limited to unauthorized data modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
