CVE-2023-25039Network attack vector

Subscriber-level feedback submission via missing capability check

Published Mar 25, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

Missing authorization in CodePeople Post Map for Google Maps 1.0.43 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to submit feedback. The feedback_action function handles the cp-google-maps-feedback action without checking whether the caller has the required WordPress capability. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to create an unauthorized feedback submission, modifying only the feedback data handled by the plugin.
