CVE-2023-2499Network attack vector

Account takeover via unverified Google login email

Published May 16, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Authentication bypass in EventPrime Events RegistrationMagic 5.2.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to access any existing account. The Google social-login path uses a supplied email address to select a WordPress user without sufficiently verifying that the Google identity owns that address. Google login must be enabled and the target email known; a successful request issues a session for that user, including an administrator.
