CVE-2023-24960Network attack vector

Arbitrary file disclosure via directory traversal

Published Feb 17, 2023 · Updated Mar 12, 2025

Path traversal in IBM InfoSphere Information Server 11.7 allows remote attackers to view arbitrary files via crafted URL requests containing ../ sequences. The HTTP URL path handler accepts dot-dot segments without restricting resolution to the intended directory, exposing arbitrary filesystem files. The attack requires no authentication or user interaction and affects confidentiality; integrity and availability impacts are not reported.
