Integer overflow in Windows kernel PE parsing allows context-dependent attackers to cause persistent service interruption via a crafted file. The relocation-table parser uses an overflowable calculation to bounds-check attacker-controlled PE data before reading memory. Exploitation requires a target to visit a malicious page or open the file, and the resulting denial of service persists across restarts.
