SYSTEM privilege escalation via improperly locked memory

Elevation of privilege in Microsoft Windows Backup Service allows local users to obtain SYSTEM privileges through a crafted application. Microsoft maps the issue to sensitive data stored in improperly locked memory but does not disclose the affected routine or unsafe operation. A user must already be able to execute code locally; successful exploitation grants SYSTEM privileges.
