CVE-2023-24922Network attack vector

Authenticated information disclosure via XPath injection

Published Mar 14, 2023 · Updated Jan 1, 2025

XPath injection in Dynamics 365 on-premises 9.0 before 9.0.45.11 and 9.1 before 9.1.16.20 allows remote authenticated users to read data. The application emits a verbose error that discloses information useful for constructing a malicious XPath payload, but Microsoft has not named the affected endpoint or parameter. A valid low-privilege account and network access to the deployment are required; the reported consequence is confidentiality loss without data modification or service interruption.
