Authenticated code execution via malformed XPS print job
Published Mar 14, 2023 · Updated Feb 28, 2025
Heap-based buffer overflow in Microsoft's PostScript and PCL6 Class Printer Driver allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The driver overruns a heap buffer while processing a modified XPS file submitted to a shared printer. Normal user privileges and access to the shared printer are required; successful exploitation runs code on the Windows print host.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
