Out-of-bounds read in Microsoft Windows Secure Channel allows local users to interrupt service on affected Windows releases. Microsoft identifies the defect as an out-of-bounds read but has not published the affected Secure Channel routine or the input whose bounds are not checked. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access and can make the operating system unavailable; no confidentiality or integrity impact is reported.
