Network injection via inadequate mirror-port isolation
Published Aug 8, 2023 · Updated Aug 12, 2025
Improper network isolation in Siemens RUGGEDCOM ROS devices allows remote attackers to inject packets through an enabled mirror port. The forwarding logic fails to block ingress traffic received on the mirror destination port and relays it into the mirrored network. Port mirroring must be enabled, and injected packets can reach connected systems and alter their configuration or runtime behavior.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <V4.3.8
