Local protected-memory compromise via access-control call
Published Oct 3, 2023 · Updated Feb 27, 2025
Memory corruption in Qualcomm Snapdragon Core allows local users to read or alter protected memory and crash the device. The Core component passes a hardware-protected address range to the Access Control core library, but Qualcomm has not disclosed the corrupting operation or affected function. Exploitation requires local access but no prior privileges or user interaction, and successful exploitation can compromise protected memory or interrupt service.
