Reflected XSS via unsanitized query parameter
Published Mar 6, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in PMB 7.4.6 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser through a crafted query parameter. The export_z3950.php and export_z3950_new.php endpoints reflect the query value into HTML without neutralization, and an =or suffix bypasses the input filter. Exploitation requires a victim to open the crafted URL; the script then runs in the PMB origin and can read or alter data accessible to that session.
