Unauthenticated database disclosure via injectable sid parameter
Published Mar 3, 2023 · Updated Mar 7, 2025
SQL injection in Judging Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to extract database information through the sid parameter. The updateview.php endpoint passes the sid value into an SQL query without neutralizing quotes or SQL operators, allowing an error-based updatexml payload to execute within that query. Access requires no prior privileges, and the published proof of concept demonstrates disclosure of the active database name rather than broader database compromise.
