CVE-2023-24622Network attack vector

SSRF via permissive domain prefix matching

Published Jan 30, 2023 · Updated Mar 28, 2025

SSRF in IncludeSecurity safeurl-python before 1.2 allows remote attackers to send requests to unintended external domains through allowlist bypass. The isInList method passes each configured domain into a start-anchored regular expression, leaving the end unanchored and treating dots as wildcards. Applications are exposed only when they use the domain allowlist with attacker-controlled URLs; a crafted hostname redirects an outbound request to an unapproved external host.
