CVE-2023-24599Network attack vector

Appointment tampering via conflicting object IDs

Published May 29, 2023 · Updated Jan 14, 2025

Authorization bypass in Open-Xchange OX App Suite backend before 7.10.6-rev37 and 8.8 allows remote authenticated users to alter appointments. The appointment-update path accepts conflicting object IDs in one request and applies changes without confirming access to the referenced calendar folder. A valid account in the same context is required, and the attacker can modify appointment fragments in folders without read access.
