CVE-2023-24583Network attack vector

Arbitrary command execution via crafted UDP name

Published Jul 6, 2023 · Updated Nov 4, 2025

OS command injection in Milesight UR32L 32.3.0.5 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through a crafted UDP request. urvpn_client parses the packet as JSON, passes its name value to cmd_name_action, interpolates it into a ubus shell command, and invokes system without validation. The Milesight VPN service must be enabled and listening, and successful exploitation executes attacker-supplied commands with the service's privileges.
