CVE-2023-24569

Local privilege escalation via malformed named-pipe input

Published Feb 10, 2023 · Updated Mar 24, 2025

Improper input validation in Dell Alienware Command Center 5.5.37.0 and earlier allows local users to elevate privileges through a named pipe. The application accepts malicious named-pipe input without adequate validation, but Dell has not disclosed the pipe, message format, or defective validation routine. An attacker must already have authenticated local access; successful exploitation raises privileges and permits full control of the affected Windows system.
