Stack-based buffer overflow in Siemens Solid Edge SE2022 and SE2023 allows attackers to disclose data through a crafted PAR file. The PAR parser overruns a stack buffer while processing attacker-controlled file data; Siemens has not disclosed the affected function. Exploitation requires a user to open the file and affects SE2022 in all versions and SE2023 before 223.0Update2; Siemens also describes process-context code execution, which conflicts with its confidentiality-only CVSS vector.
