Code execution via out-of-bounds PAR buffer write
Published Feb 14, 2023 · Updated Mar 20, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in Siemens Solid Edge SE2022 and SE2023 allows context-dependent attackers to execute code via a crafted PAR file. The PAR parser writes beyond the end of an allocated buffer when it processes malformed file content. Exploitation requires a user to open the file, and resulting code runs with the current process's privileges; a failed attempt can also crash the application.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
